Exemplar Mentorship Programmes

MEPI is a group mentorship model embedded within PhD programmes in Uganda that encourages collaborative learning, reduces student isolation, and leverages multiple mentors simultaneously. MEPI contributed to high doctoral completion rates, increased scholarly productivity, and the establishment of sustainable networks of independent African research leaders. CYRP is a peer-to-peer mentorship programme in Tanzania that operates in resource-limited settings and has enhanced research output while developing mentees capable of mentoring others.
