Family Relationships

Satisfaction with marriage and children were associated with markedly lower odds of low life satisfaction. Family relationship satisfaction was interpreted as protective for life satisfaction. Most participants were married and satisfied with their marriage. Harmonious marital and parent-child relationships may improve quality of life through support for health, care access, daily assistance, and social and economic benefits. Marital satisfaction and satisfaction with children were included as family and social network factors.
