Raising the front foot on a step makes the movement easier and more accessible. The elevated and slightly inclined front foot gives the front hip, knee, and ankle a controlled position to practice flexion while the body stays upright and aligned. A ramp or stable object can be used to elevate the front leg. Two books can create a home setup with one book lengthwise and another perpendicular on top to form an incline. Weight plates or similar stable objects can also be used for the elevated incline. People with mobility stiffness need to elevate the front foot to reach the correct position.
