Fungal Overgrowth

Molds can proliferate when antibiotics remove bacteria that normally control fungal growth. Fungi can establish themselves after systemic antibiotics disrupt protective bacterial flora. Antibiotics consumed through food sources can disrupt gut bacterial balance and enable fungal colonization.
