A parallel SNAP domain will compare aspirin and clopidogrel in SAB patients with an independent antiplatelet indication. Dabi-SNAP deliberately restricts enrollment to current DOAC users to avoid adding anticoagulation-related bleeding risk to patients who would not otherwise receive anticoagulation. A positive Dabi-SNAP result would support dabigatran as the preferred DOAC for SAB patients who require anticoagulation.
