Mean FLR growth is not significantly different between PVE and portal vein ligation. Liver resection following PVE is typically considered after approximately 3–7 weeks, once FLR volume becomes sufficient. Insufficient future liver remnant is one of the most common reasons CRLM patients are considered unresectable.
