Social Network Analysis can help explain how empowered emergency care clinicians influence teams and policy decisions. Theories of Change can clarify how leadership training leads to effective leadership and impacts across individual, organizational, community, and political levels. Theories of Change can accommodate long-term outputs, local LMIC context, and multiple impact measures for emergency care development. Combining Social Network Analysis with Theories of Change may help explain both what leadership and governance influence and how that influence works in emergency care systems.
