In digital health, gamification may improve exercise adherence, satisfaction, motivation, behavioural change and social connection. Exergames may make repetitive therapeutic tasks more motivating and support effective treatment. Gamification uses game design elements in non-game contexts to make activities more engaging. ApnoeaTheraPlay uses badges and progress charts to increase motivation and participation. The intervention will include at least two games for each of four exercise modules.
