Recovery was defined as patients being conscious, easily aroused, and able to identify their surroundings and themselves. The study treated anaesthetic recovery as an important indicator of anaesthesia quality. The primary recovery endpoint was the interval from end of anaesthesia to Aldrete score 9 or higher in the PACU. An Aldrete score of 9 or higher indicated PACU discharge readiness under satisfactory safety conditions. Poor or delayed recovery can contribute to cardiovascular and respiratory complications.
