General practice education may influence both GP workforce recruitment and interprofessional respect for general practice. Prior studies indicate that several general-practice educational formats can increase student interest in general practice. Recent education-focused research suggests general practice education can improve the perceived prestige of general practice. The review will examine how general practice education during medical school affects students' attitudes toward general practice. Eligible educational exposure includes lectures, seminars, internships, clerkships, electives, longitudinal teaching projects, problem-based learning and mentoring.
