Niger recorded the highest national age-standardised prevalence rate (345.65 per 100,000) and age-standardised DALY rate (41.83 per 100,000). India reported the highest national glaucoma case count (1,372,410) in 2021, followed by China (1,119,892). African nations bore the heaviest age-standardised glaucoma burden.
