The get-up to bridge is a full-body exercise that challenges core control, shoulder stability, and lower-body strength. From the elbow position, the practitioner straightens the supporting arm to reach a hand-supported post position. The working arm reaches toward the ceiling to initiate the roll from the floor to the elbow-supported position. After reaching the bridge, the practitioner lowers back down and returns through each position with control. The starting position requires lying on the floor with one knee bent and the opposite leg straight, with legs positioned at an X-shaped angle for stability. The arms form a letter T position at the top of the bridge. The exercise should be performed slowly and with deliberate control throughout all positions.
