Glass Microbeads

Glass microbeads contour more closely to the body and produce more uniform pressure distribution than coarser plastic pellets. Glass microbeads are significantly denser than plastic poly pellets, causing a glass-filled blanket to lie flat and drape like a conventional blanket rather than puffing up. Glass is silica-based and chemically inert, posing no harmful effect if emptied into soil. Glass microbeads do not leak under normal use, but if they escaped they would adhere to surfaces like glitter, making containment important. Glass microbeads are slightly larger than sand grains, visibly round and smooth, and roll continuously on a flat surface.
