Glycosuria

A positive glucose urine test indicates blood sugar has reached at least 225 mg/dL. When blood sugar reaches the glycosuria threshold, the kidneys can no longer reabsorb all the filtered glucose. Glucose spilling into urine is the body's emergency mechanism for removing toxic glucose levels from the bloodstream.
