Government Preparedness

Experienced doctors were assigned to support women in cyclone shelters, and normal deliveries were reportedly handled successfully during recent cyclones. Government preparedness included mobile medical teams and union-level doctor-led medical teams. Cyclone shelter response prioritised pregnant women and recently delivered women. Government preparedness was constrained by insufficient staff, inadequate resources, poor transportation, and limited coverage capacity.
