Grade Inflation

Some academic environments have softened standards by shifting grades upward. Inflated evaluations reduce meaningful distinctions among adequate, good, and excellent performance. Inflated grades can label weaker or average performance as stronger than it really is. Grade inflation is presented as one source of distorted feedback.
