Haemodialysis

Most participants received three haemodialysis sessions each week. All study participants had stage V CKD and were receiving haemodialysis. More than half of participants had been on haemodialysis for over five years. Haemodialysis patients require higher protein intake, so unsupervised food restriction is contraindicated.
