Health System Building Blocks

The review will include interventions addressing WHO health system building blocks such as service delivery, financing, governance, information, medicines, and workforce. Health information interventions include stronger patient registries and better information exchange between women with HIV and healthcare providers. Workforce strategies can include increasing HIV care providers, improving guideline knowledge, decision support, teamwork, and task sharing or shifting. Service-delivery interventions may improve PMTCT access through screening, treatment, education, follow-up, equity improvements, reduced waiting time, or service integration.
