Health Workforce Policy

The study concluded that isolated interventions are unlikely to solve Beijing's GP workforce challenges. The article recommends dynamic monitoring of workload, workforce mobility, and service demand for workforce planning. Workload reduction should involve reducing low-value administration, improving incentives, strengthening team care, and using digital tools. Policy coordination is needed across health, education, human resources, and finance sectors. The professional role of GPs should be clarified in China's non-mandatory gatekeeping system.
