Implementation Science

The review is expected to support ethically grounded, practice-informed, person-centred integration of generative AI in dementia care. Applying an implementation science lens is expected to help identify barriers and facilitators to implementation, improve equity and efficiency, and support scale-up of approaches that improve mental health. WP2 uses qualitative content analysis anchored in Normalisation Process Theory. Normalisation Process Theory is used because it examines how complex interventions become or fail to become part of everyday routines. Implementation science capacity-building programmes have expanded rapidly worldwide. Implementation science publications were considered nascent around 2010. Effective implementation requires specialised skills across multiple implementation activities. Knowledge translation will be embedded throughout the review process rather than treated as a final step. Implementation science asks what works, where, when, and why, and how evidence-based interventions can become routine practice.
