Clinical guidance and protocols helped guide ethical decision-making through clear eligibility definitions. Mentorship and psychological support reduced provider isolation and improved uptake for MAiD in Canada. Standardised practice templates enabled equitable and resource-appropriate MAiD delivery in Australia. Dedicated coordinators reduced operational burden that otherwise would have fallen on frontline nurses. Most strategies targeted individual clinicians rather than organisations or systems. The review identified 189 implementation strategies across 17 themes in 69 studies. Only three studies explicitly tailored strategies to previously identified contextual barriers. Unit Councils were used to engage stakeholders and adapt MAUVE at the unit level. Implementation strategies are intended to support integration of the guideline-driven care model into routine practice. The core strategies were mapped to the COM-B behaviour change model to target ward-level capability, opportunity, and motivation.
