Indian Trauma Care Context

Nurses and other healthcare professionals had a limited role in initial trauma management compared with trauma team-based settings. The study findings may generalise to similar trauma care structures but may be less applicable where senior faculty manage initial trauma care. Standard trauma care in participating Indian departments relied heavily on rotating physician units and residents for initial management.
