Infrared Light Transmission

Substantial amounts of infrared light transmit through polyester scrub fabric. Infrared light passes through polyester scrubs significantly more readily than visible light does. Tape placed behind the scrub material blocks infrared light transmission, creating a visible contrast against the surrounding fabric.
