The cohort cannot determine whether elevated reintervention risk is due to the anatomy requiring infundibulectomy or the repair itself. Thirty patients received infundibulectomy in addition to valvulotomy during the initial surgery. Cox regression identified infundibulectomy as a significant predictor of reintervention. Patients with infundibulectomy had a higher reintervention rate than patients without it. Infundibulectomy may be associated with supraventricular tachycardia, but larger series are needed to confirm it.
