Insulin Resistance and Obesity

Obesity-related insulin resistance is identified as the primary driver of HUA+HTN comorbidity in Chinese youth, creating a self-reinforcing metabolic cycle in which elevated uric acid and blood pressure each worsen the other. Shifts in dietary habits are cited as a contributing factor to the comorbidity alongside insulin resistance. The review will stratify subgroup analyses by obesity indices, insulin resistance markers, dietary patterns, and genetic susceptibility to identify high-risk subgroups.
