Integrative Review Methodology

Meta-analysis is considered unlikely because the eligible association evidence is limited and heterogeneous. The review will use Whittemore and Knafl’s integrative review framework. The protocol was reported using the PRISMA-Protocols checklist. The review will use inductive data charting to identify patterns in the evidence. The integrative review approach was chosen because it can synthesize qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods literature.
