Intergenerational Interaction

All participants enjoyed the intergenerational aspect of the programme. Older adults reported that dance helped understanding form between generations. Intergroup Contact Theory underpinned the programme because it is commonly used in intergenerational programme development. The theory focuses on improving contact between different groups. The programme used shared participation in movement and music as a common goal. Co-created movement supported cooperation and equal status between age groups.
