In advanced NSCLC, bevacizumab plus chemotherapy has improved progression-free survival and overall survival compared with chemotherapy alone. A retrospective study associated bevacizumab combination therapy, including with intrathecal pemetrexed, with prolonged survival in NSCLC leptomeningeal metastases. Cohort B escalates intrathecal bevacizumab through doses of 5 mg, 10 mg, 25 mg, 37.5 mg, and 50 mg. Bevacizumab inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor and suppresses tumour growth and tumour-associated angiogenesis. Bevacizumab is an antiangiogenic antibody used in advanced NSCLC.
