Laboratory Blood Grouping Methods

Using both forward and reverse grouping improved blood group identification accuracy. ABO and RhD groups were determined using forward grouping with a commercial diagnostic kit. Reverse grouping used a prepared cell suspension tube method. Venous blood samples were collected into EDTA vacutainer tubes.
