Leg ulcer point prevalence in the Australian study was nearly four times higher than the UK comparator estimate. The dataset could not reliably distinguish venous, arterial, and diabetic ulcer aetiology. Potential explanations for higher leg ulcer prevalence included venous risk factors and lower compression therapy adherence or provision.
