Life Cycle Assessment

The study used a process-based LCA following ISO 14040:2006 and ISO 14044:2006 standards. The assessment modeled 18 midpoint impact categories using ecoinvent, SimaPro, and the ReCiPe method. The inventory was organized into six process categories covering disposables, non-disposables, implants, sterilisation, energy use, and infrastructure.
