The protocol treats comparison with a natural-speech corpus as a methodological strength. Each phoneme must differ by no more than 15% from the BEA reference frequency. Phoneme frequencies are calculated with Python and Microsoft Excel and expressed as percentages. The BEA database is used as the reference for natural Hungarian speech. Phase II tests whether the selected Hungarian items reflect the phonemic structure of spoken Hungarian.
