Neither LVD nor PVEfLR had any mortality within 90 days in the one comparison study. LVD has a significantly faster kinetic growth rate than PVEfLR. LVD produces significantly greater hypertrophy than PVEfLR. The PVEfLR group had no adverse events in the LVD comparison study, whereas the LVD group experienced four mild or moderate adverse events. Post-intervention standardised FLR index was higher with LVD than PVEfLR, but not significantly so.
