Long COVID in Older Adults

Long COVID consists of persistent health problems after the acute phase of COVID-19. Long COVID symptoms can reduce health, activity, social interaction and quality of life, and may contribute to irreversible functional decline. Older adults aged 65 years and over are especially vulnerable to persistent symptoms and adverse outcomes.
