Low-dose digoxin did not significantly reduce the DECISION trial primary composite endpoint compared with placebo. Most patients started digoxin at 0.1 mg once daily, while one quarter started at 0.2 mg once daily. The primary composite outcome was numerically lower with digoxin but did not reach statistical significance. Low-dose digoxin was generally well tolerated in the trial. DECISION tested a low-dose digoxin strategy added to contemporary guideline-recommended therapy.
