Secondary objectives include assessing whether NSPT plus SPC improves masticatory function. Lower variance of hue indicates better colour mixing and better chewing performance. Masticatory function is measured with both subjective and objective methods. The subjective questionnaire assesses dietary patterns, chewing perceptions, preference for food texture, self-reported weakness and tooth mobility. The objective gum test requires participants to chew two differently coloured pieces of gum for 20 cycles before scanned analysis.
