Mazani Women

Mazani women had the lowest childbirth experience scores in the study. Mazandaran province has a cesarean delivery rate of about 70%, the highest in Iran. The finding of low childbirth experience among Mazani women is consistent with earlier Iranian studies. Poor vaginal birth experiences may contribute to preference for cesarean delivery in Mazandaran. A negative childbirth experience may influence whether couples choose to have another child. The article recommends qualitative research into why Mazani women report poorer childbirth experiences.
