Medical Ethics

In the United States, the same procedure that the UN classifies as torture is legally classified and reimbursed as medical therapy. The United Nations classifies forced ECT, particularly on minors, as a human rights abuse comparable to torture. ECT is documented as having been used as a form of torture in China.
