Medication-safety engagement can support self-management continuity, improve outcomes, and reduce medication errors and near misses. Patient engagement in medication safety involves active patient participation during regular medication use to improve medication safety, rationality, and effectiveness. Demand participation scores were lower across all three engagement profiles, suggesting weaker awareness of identifying and reporting medication-safety problems. The mean total inpatient involvement score in the study sample was 77.84±7.14.
