Physical therapy can produce good outcomes for meniscus-related conditions compared with surgery. Meniscus tears can be incidental and may not explain a patient’s pain. Improved movement after treatment can support the idea that imaging findings are not the primary symptom driver. Meniscus tear healing potential partly depends on tear location. Tears near the outer rim have better healing potential because blood supply is better there.
