Mobile health interventions are considered promising for adolescent smoking cessation because they are accessible, adaptable, and align with adolescents' everyday technology use. No existing application specifically addresses Indonesian adolescent smokers through a locally tailored, theory-driven design combining behaviour change methods, social support, and interactive features. Evidence for mobile smoking cessation interventions is mixed, particularly in low- and middle-income countries and among adolescents, with long-term effectiveness remaining under-evaluated. Many existing mHealth cessation interventions fail to account for adolescent-specific needs such as peer influence, motivation, and cultural context. Indonesia is the fourth-largest smartphone market globally, and smartphone ownership is widespread among adolescents.
