Pregnant participants receive weekly intervention texts throughout pregnancy and the first postpartum year. Support persons receive biweekly messages about support skills, warning signs, and healthy behaviours. Provider-facing intervention materials include opt-in biweekly texts and quarterly clinic flyers or posters. Automated logs within the app will track login frequency, session duration, feature use, and content completion. The MI MOM intervention is delivered across individual, support system, provider, and community levels. The application was developed using the Rapid Application Development model, which supports iterative, user-centred, and cost-effective development. The app includes mandatory education modules on smoking harms and cessation benefits, plus personalised motivational push notifications and in-app messages.
