Aortic stiffness differentiated cardiovascular risk more strongly than blood pressure level within the moderate BP range. Individual participant data were harmonized from 11 cohorts of people with moderate BP and no prior cardiovascular disease. The study focused on people with moderate blood pressure between 120–159/80–99 mmHg. The findings particularly apply to the clinical grey zone where treatment decisions for moderate BP are uncertain.
