Mpox Transmission

The current outbreak variant shows more frequent nonsexual transmission compared to previous strains. Mpox transmission occurs primarily through contact, with the rash phase being the critical period of transmission risk. Sexual transmission remains a significant route of mpox spread during symptomatic periods.
