Multiple Myeloma

The study concluded that EQ-5D-5L was reliable and valid for Chinese patients with multiple myeloma. The multiple myeloma group had the strongest EQ-5D internal consistency, with Cronbach's alpha of 0.899. EQ-5D had strong and statistically significant criterion validity in multiple myeloma. Multiple myeloma showed the clearest two-factor EQ-5D structure. Usual activities was the most important EQ-5D dimension for reliability in multiple myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a hematologic malignancy involving clonal proliferation of bone marrow plasma cells. Limited epidemiologic knowledge motivates molecular marker discovery for multiple myeloma risk stratification.
