The Needs Assessment Model was developed through an international Delphi consensus process. The survey directly asks respondents whether they would be interested in specific CR interventions, so patient preferences can be compared against PROM-based needs. The overlap between PROM-based needs and patient preferences is evaluated descriptively using a 2×2 cross-tabulation framework. The PRIME-AF survey was developed in mid-2024 guided by the Delphi-derived Needs Assessment Model. PRIME-AF introduces a framework linking Needs Assessment Model criteria to specific CR components, potentially serving as a template for structured referral procedures in AF care.
