Neighbourhoods with high migrant density tend to have fewer primary healthcare practices, limiting early cancer detection for all residents. High migrant density areas experienced higher COVID-19 mortality and hospitalisation rates, and cancer patients faced further treatment disruption. Non-Western migrants with limited socioeconomic resources are disproportionately concentrated in high migrant density suburban neighbourhoods characterised by high unemployment and crime. Migrant density was operationalised at the DeSO level and divided into low, medium, and high tertiles.
