Non-Dual Awareness

Transcending duality is presented as possible for everyone in one lifetime. Once non-dual awareness is known, its recognition remains available. The non-dual view holds that reality is not reducible to one side of an opposition. The article places a person’s true nature beyond duality, while duality belongs to the mind. Miracle and tragedy can coexist without either cancelling the other. Miracle uplifts a person toward beauty, grace, wonder, and mystery. Falling grounds a person in limitation, vulnerability, mortality, and real conditions. Inner dialogue is explained as arising from a split within consciousness or personality. Unified consciousness is said to have no internal dialogue because it is non-dual. Freezing the wheel of life at the top produces a purely uplifting or transcendent philosophy. Freezing the wheel of life at the bottom produces nihilism or existential despair.
