Non-Linear Mutation-Selection Model

The study is theoretical and mathematical rather than empirical. The model evaluates each mutation's marginal cost against the aggregate survivorship schedule produced by other segregating mutations. The non-linear calculations use reductions in net reproduction ratio as the selective cost because alleles are maintained at mutation-selection equilibrium. The analysis applies the full non-linear mutation-selection model of Evans et al. to deleterious mutations concentrated at single ages.
