Occupational therapy services are underused in palliative care settings internationally. A lack of specific palliative care training may contribute to uncertainty among occupational therapists about applying their skills in palliative settings. Occupational therapy can contribute to palliative care by supporting independence, environmental adaptation, assistive devices, pain management, and activity adaptation.
